Samira is a special girl who has been with the rescue since 2022. Much of that time she was not available for adoption because she was struggling with some health issues. Samira has stomatitis, which is a non-contagious condition that causes painful swelling and sores inside the mouth. Samira struggled to maintain a healthy weight since she would not eat due to pain in her mouth. The good news is that Samira has responded well to a new treatment! She gets a monoclonal antibody shot once a month to address the inflammation and pain in her mouth and as a result she is finally a healthy weight, and feeling good! We hope Samira will find a loving home now that her condition is being managed well--but we also know that it can take a long time for cats with medical conditions to find a home.
