Meet Earl Grey, the longest-enrolled cat with Houston Cares. EG was found in rough shape in a colony of feral cats but he was obviously not feral. We assume he was lost or abandoned. Our volunteers noticed right away that he was struggling to eat, and then saw that he was losing weight, bleeding from the mouth, and having trouble grooming himself. Our vets diagnosed him with a severe case of stomatitis and recommended that all of his teeth be removed. And they were! His recovery took a while but now this sweet, young senior is doing GREAT and acting like a playful boy. He is on no medication and requires no special food (he eats wet and dry). He has lived with dogs, cats, and even toddlers and does great with everyone. We wish someone would fall in love with this special boy and end his long wait for a home of his own.
