I am Kahlua and I am the resident sassy girl of the rescue. Houston Cares considers me a "behavior case" since I do have some behavior that makes it harder for me to find a home. I have been with the rescue for over 2 years because it takes me a long time to integrate into new places and to get used to new people. I sometimes bite, but not out of anger or fear--it is more when I want to tell you how I am feeling--and especially if I am annoyed. If I was dangerous I could not live with two young children but I do! So I am not feral. I also get along ok with the other cats and even the dogs in my foster home.

Since it may take a while longer to find a home that respects my opinionated nature, I will probably be with the rescue a while longer. I am so lucky that a rescue like Houston Cares exists and that I am safe even though I have not been adopted in so long.
