Introducing Amelia! Amelia is our oldest enrolled cat. She is estimated to be about 14 years old and she came to the rescue over 3 years ago with significant medical need. She almost did not make it, since she was found very malnourished and dehydrated. Amelia also has kidney damage and arthritis, which require prescription food, occasional subcutaneous fluids, and monthly shots to help with arthritis pain. Despite all of this, her quality of life is good! Amelia loves laying in sun spots and taking occasional walks in her screened cat stroller. We know she may be past the point when someone will see and want to adopt her due to her age and medical needs, but we will keep her safe in the rescue for as long as she is with us.
